Data Foundry® Multi-Megabit Services

For companies with bandwidth requirements exceeding our Full T1 offering, Data Foundry provides NxT1 (multiple T1s) solutions in which we combine (bundle) up to eight T1s into a single homogenous connection. If you choose, we can diversity these T1s over separate local loops and redundant routing hardware. This solution is a low cost alternative to a T3 for businesses that require capacity and speeds greater than a single T1.

A T3 line is a dedicated private line, equivalent in capacity to 28 T1 lines, with a data transfer rate of 45 Mbps and 672 individual channels. This solution is recommended for medium and large-sized businesses with high bandwidth requirements. When deciding between a NxT1 (multiple T1s) and T3 solution, a customer should take into consideration the diminishing point of cost justification involved with provisioning multiple local loops, versus only one loop for the T3 solution.

For customers that do not want the cost of a full T3 line but desire a faster connection than a T1 we offer a fractional T3. This service is offered in increments of 3Mbps starting at 6Mbps.

For companies experiencing high-growth, periodically use information-rich applications (such as video conferencing and live web-based training and education), have unpredictable traffic patterns, and/or high spikes, we offer a Burstable T3 solution.

When your connectivity requirements force you to look beyond traditional business services, Data Foundry offer true carrier-class service. Our OC3, 12 and 48 solutions deliver consistently high performance utilizing Packet over SONET technology and are recommended for those with exceptional speed and capacity needs. These solutions offer data transfer rates from 155Mbps to 2.48Gbps. To provide scalability we also offer Burstable OC level connectivity. Choosing Data Foundry for these services gives you true upstream redundancy as opposed to contracting directly with a single network, large backbone provider.

Data Foundry's Gigabit Ethernet (Gig-E) transport offering provides the simplicity of traditional LAN topologies with the redundancy and performance of state-of-the-art SONET networks. Further, Data Foundry's Gigabit Ethernet transport allows you to extend your LAN beyond traditional distances, making applications such as Disaster Recovery and real-time disk replication a reality. The Gigabit Ethernet service is available in port speeds form 51Mbps to 622Mbps and is sold in flat rate and Burstable increments.
